About

IMG_8133Hi. I’m Mandy. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Nope. I’m not Myrtle (nor Lloyd). They were my grandparents – a perfect testament to enduring love and a great example to ponder as I’m inking wedding invitations and ceremony programs into the wee hours.

I have been doing calligraphy professionally for over 15 years, and have had a paintbrush in my hand for as long as I can remember. (Somewhere there exists a picture of me, at age 3, holding one and simultaneously lifting my turtleneck to show off my belly button – it was a very well-formed belly button and I was quite proud.)

In the last few years, I have had the pleasure of working with renowned companies, wedding and event planners, some fabulous stationers and designers, as well as a lot of pretty special brides and grooms.

My work has appeared in various national publications and websites including Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, Ruffled Blog, Style Me Pretty, Philadelphia Wedding Magazine and more. I am also a member of IAMPETH (the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting).

I feel absolutely giddy to be doing what I love for a living, and find the most joy in making people get that “You totally got what I wanted! feeling.

My husband, Freckled Boy, and I live in a cozy craftsman home in Atlanta with one not-so-smart (but pretty adorable) kitty, named Molly, another vocal little kittle we call Sir Meeps-A-Lot, and last but certainly not least, a 100 lb Great Pyrenees named Alfie.

We pass our time trying small-batch Bourbons, playing Scrabble and competing for who has the most mismatched socks.

It’s a good life.
