Hi. I’m Mandy. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Nope. I’m not Myrtle (nor Lloyd). They were my grandparents – a perfect testament to enduring love and a great example to ponder as I’m inking wedding invitations and ceremony programs into the wee hours.

I have been doing calligraphy professionally for over 14 years, and have had a paintbrush in my hand for as long as I can remember. (Somewhere there exists a picture of me, at age 3, holding one and simultaneously lifting my turtleneck to show off my belly button – it was a very well-formed belly button and I was quite proud.)

In the last few years, I have had the pleasure of working with renowned companies, wedding and event planners, some fabulous stationers and designers, as well as a lot of pretty special brides and grooms.

My work has appeared in various national publications and websites including Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, Ruffled Blog, Style Me Pretty, and more. I am also a member of IAMPETH (the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting).

I feel absolutely giddy to be doing what I love for a living, and find the most joy in making people get that “You totally got what I wanted! feeling.

My husband, Freckled Boy, and I live in a cozy lakeside town just outside Atlanta with one not-so-smart (but pretty adorable) kitty, named Molly and another vocal little kittle we call Sir Meeps-A-Lot.

We pass our time trying small-batch Bourbons, playing Scrabble and competing for who has the most mismatched socks.

It’s a good life.
